Around 50 years ago, computers cost a fortune and were made for specific-purpose activities. Computers were very simple and could only complete a distinct tasks. Floppy disks were soon replaced with the cassettes when computers did not have the necessary components to operate floppy disks or communicate effectively with people worldwide. This was a very tedious time for many business managers.

As time progressed into the early 80’s and modern times, there was an explosive growth in the evolution of customer relationship and the necessity to own a personal computer. No longer did businesses have to manually track customer relationships on paper, through the mail, or on the phone. There was a surge in newer languages that provided bigger, better and faster functions.
